A website in Zurich, on a free quote, in German and English.

Zurich has some of the most expensive agencies in the country and thousands of small businesses that do not need them: practices, accountants, tradespeople, restaurants, consultancies. I build their websites in German and English, on a free quote.

Question 1 of 5
Your website today is…
When someone searches for your trade and your town on Google or in ChatGPT, you appear…
How many enquiries a month reach you through the website?
What does a new client bring you, on average?
How many hours a week do you spend doing by hand what a website would do: answering the same questions, sending information, booking appointments?

Five questions, two minutes. Nothing reaches me until you send the form at the end.

Zurich, an English-speaking market that searches in German

The city concentrates finance, insurance, tech and an international population that looks for a dentist, a lawyer, a mover or a restaurant in English. The Zurich small business has a site in German, often well made, sometimes expensive, rarely in English. The Visible package, German and English, twenty pages, closes exactly that gap.

Winterthur, Uster, Rapperswil and the rest of the canton add industry, construction and local trade. There, it is searches like “Webdesign Winterthur” or “Schreiner Uster” that count, and a site that names its town with an accurate Google profile receives them.

Small-business websites in the canton of Zurich, measured

In September 2026, the Hallebardier study drew 7,406 companies in the canton of Zurich at random from the commercial register, then audited the 2,017 reachable websites it could tie to them with certainty. The canton’s figures, with Switzerland’s alongside.

27%

of companies in the canton have a website under their own name that a machine can tie to them with proof. Switzerland: 24%.

53%

of websites give no structured data: neither the trade nor the address, in a form a search engine or an AI reads without guessing. Switzerland: 54%.

41%

of websites have no privacy page the crawler could find, although the law requires visitors to be informed as soon as a site collects personal data. Switzerland: 45%.

11%

of websites show a year of 2024 or earlier in their footer. Switzerland: 11%.

The clearest gap with the Swiss average is in the privacy page: 59% of websites in the canton, against 55% across Switzerland.

2,017 reachable websites audited in the canton: the margin of error is about 2 points, and a smaller gap with the Swiss average is not significant. Method, definitions and full data: the “10,000 Swiss small-business websites” study.

What a Zurich website has to do

01Exist in English, written for an English speaker

Not a machine translation: an English version with its own headings, its own URLs, its own tone.

02Survive the comparison

Zurich competitors have polished sites. Yours has to be too, without exceeding a small business budget.

03Name the canton

Zurich, Winterthur, Uster, Rapperswil, Dietikon, Zug next door: pages that receive local searches.

04Convert a reader in a hurry

The price or the service, the address, the call button, above the fold, on a phone.

With me, on a free quote after a thirty-minute call: Minimum for ten pages in one language, Visible for twenty pages in two languages, Conquête for thirty pages or more in three languages. The price does not depend on the city.
