Hallebardier › Switzerland › St. Gallen

A website for your business in St. Gallen, on a free quote, by a university alumnus.

I studied in St. Gallen and I know its businesses: textiles, mechanics, logistics, shops and practices serving all of Eastern Switzerland and southern Germany. I build their websites, on a free quote, in German first.

Question 1 of 5
Your website today is…
When someone searches for your trade and your town on Google or in ChatGPT, you appear…
How many enquiries a month reach you through the website?
What does a new client bring you, on average?
How many hours a week do you spend doing by hand what a website would do: answering the same questions, sending information, booking appointments?

Five questions, two minutes. Nothing reaches me until you send the form at the end.

St. Gallen, an industrial region facing Germany

Lake Constance does not separate markets: a company in Wil, Gossau, Rapperswil or Rorschach sells to Bregenz, Konstanz and Munich as much as to Zurich. Its site is read by German buyers who forgive neither a slow page, nor an address that cannot be found, nor missing legal notices.

The city’s shops and practices live off local searches in German, with a share of English from the university and international companies. In both cases, what is most often missing is not the quality of the work: it is a site that shows it.

Small-business websites in the canton of St. Gallen, measured

In September 2026, the Hallebardier study drew 2,477 companies in the canton of St. Gallen at random from the commercial register, then audited the 564 reachable websites it could tie to them with certainty. The canton’s figures, with Switzerland’s alongside.

23%

of companies in the canton have a website under their own name that a machine can tie to them with proof. Switzerland: 24%.

53%

of websites give no structured data: neither the trade nor the address, in a form a search engine or an AI reads without guessing. Switzerland: 54%.

41%

of websites have no privacy page the crawler could find, although the law requires visitors to be informed as soon as a site collects personal data. Switzerland: 45%.

11%

of websites show a year of 2024 or earlier in their footer. Switzerland: 11%.

On every one of these measures, the canton is within the Swiss average, given the margin of error: the national findings hold here too.

564 reachable websites audited in the canton: the margin of error is about 4 points, and a smaller gap with the Swiss average is not significant. Method, definitions and full data: the “10,000 Swiss small-business websites” study.

How much does a site cost in St. Gallen?

On a free quote, depending on the package and your project, at the same price anywhere in Switzerland.
