Hallebardier › Switzerland › Lucerne

A website for your business in Lucerne, on a free quote, in German and English.

Lucerne lives off tourism, industry and a tight fabric of Central Swiss businesses. Part of their customers arrive from abroad with a phone in hand. I build their websites in German and English, on a free quote.

Question 1 of 5
Your website today is…
When someone searches for your trade and your town on Google or in ChatGPT, you appear…
How many enquiries a month reach you through the website?
What does a new client bring you, on average?
How many hours a week do you spend doing by hand what a website would do: answering the same questions, sending information, booking appointments?

Five questions, two minutes. Nothing reaches me until you send the form at the end.

Lucerne, between English-speaking tourists and Central Swiss customers

Hotels, restaurants, shops, guides and transport live off visitors searching in English from the Chapel Bridge. Companies in Kriens, Emmen, Horw, Sursee or Zug look for suppliers in German. Many Lucerne sites chose one language and lose the other half without knowing it.

What I see when auditing sites in the region: good companies with a site made at opening, a Google profile without opening hours, a form that was never tested. Three things fixed in two weeks with the Minimum package.

Small-business websites in the canton of Lucerne, measured

In September 2026, the Hallebardier study drew 1,977 companies in the canton of Lucerne at random from the commercial register, then audited the 534 reachable websites it could tie to them with certainty. The canton’s figures, with Switzerland’s alongside.

27%

of companies in the canton have a website under their own name that a machine can tie to them with proof. Switzerland: 24%.

54%

of websites give no structured data: neither the trade nor the address, in a form a search engine or an AI reads without guessing. Switzerland: 54%.

39%

of websites have no privacy page the crawler could find, although the law requires visitors to be informed as soon as a site collects personal data. Switzerland: 45%.

11%

of websites show a year of 2024 or earlier in their footer. Switzerland: 11%.

The clearest gap with the Swiss average is in the privacy page: 61% of websites in the canton, against 55% across Switzerland.

534 reachable websites audited in the canton: the margin of error is about 4 points, and a smaller gap with the Swiss average is not significant. Method, definitions and full data: the “10,000 Swiss small-business websites” study.
